JERRY ROSS WILSON, age 71 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017, at his residence.

He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn., son of the late William Roy and Anna Leona Benton Wilson, and was preceded in death by his Step Son, James Edward "Eddie" Fox, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Rev. John R. Holloway and Lucille Hicks Holloway, Sister, Rebecca Ann Spears, and his Brother, William "Bill" Clinton Wilson.

Jerry retired from Mayfield's Dairy after 39 years of service and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was a charter member of Chilhowee Rod and Gun Club and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a veteran of The National Guard.

Survivors: Wife of 44 years: Earla Rowena Holloway Wilson of Athens, Tenn., Step-Son and wife: Scott and Sherry Fox of Athens, Tenn.,  Step- Daughter and husband:  Lisa and Scott Lyles of Athens, Tenn., Daughter and  Husband:  Jenifer and Larry Roseberry of Athens, Tenn., Sister and Husband: Kathy  and Steve Sherlin of Athens, Tenn., Two Brothers and Sister-in-law: Kenny and Judy Wilson  of Athens, Tenn., Don Wilson of Athens, Tenn.,  Ten Grandchildren: Josh Hyde, Emily Hyde, Brittany Lawson, Ariel Whited, Mitchell Fox, Maranda McCroskey, Elijah Fox, Bailey Roseberry, Kenzie Roseberry,  and Trey Roseberry. Three Great Grandchildren: Hoyt Stewart, Jaxson Lawson and Brantley Lawson, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Arwood and Rev. Bob Thomas officiating.

Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Cedar Grove Cemetery. 

Active pallbearers will be his Grandsons and Nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 Tuesday in the funeral home.
